The One Diaspora Many Roots Global Scholarship & Future Leaders Award was established to identify, celebrate, and invest in exceptional young people who are determined to pursue their education and use their knowledge, talents, and experiences to create meaningful change in the world.
Open to eligible high school and college students globally, this scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate academic commitment, leadership potential, community involvement, resilience, and a clear vision for their future.
We understand that talent exists everywhere, but opportunity does not. Financial challenges, family circumstances, geographic location, and limited access to resources can prevent extraordinary students from reaching their full potential. Our mission is to help close that gap.
This scholarship is more than an award. It is an investment in the next generation of global leaders.
We are seeking students who are not simply pursuing a degree, but pursuing a purpose—young people who want to become leaders, innovators, advocates, entrepreneurs, educators, healthcare professionals, public servants, and changemakers in their communities and beyond.
Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to education and show how their experiences, heritage, leadership, service, or personal journey have influenced the future they hope to build.
The program is designed for eligible high school students preparing for higher education and currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate students from communities around the world.
Applicants from all cultures, nationalities, and backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Applicants will complete the official One Diaspora Many Roots Scholarship Application and may be required to provide academic or enrollment documentation, a personal statement, an essay, and a letter of recommendation.
The personal essay will give applicants an opportunity to answer an important question:
“How have your roots, experiences, or community shaped who you are, and how will you use your education to create positive change for others?”
Scholarship recipients will be selected through a review process considering academic commitment, financial circumstances, leadership, community involvement, personal perseverance, future goals, and the overall strength of the application.
